Hiking

The pristine landscape in Vallelunga/Langtaufers presents visitors with numerous choices. The serene trails to the mountain pastures starts right in front of our hotel, leading into the tall larch forests, passing mountain streams, quaint villages and old farmsteads. In this terrain ibex and marmots are fairly ubiquitous.

Also not to be missed are the trails leading to the crystal clear Gschweller Seen lakes or the breath-taking glaciological path to the Weikugelhütte mountain hut at 2,542 m above sea level

The Vallelunga High Mountain Trail (signposted as Langtauferer Höhenweg in German) offers a seemingly endless view across the valley and of the nearby summits. The Maseben High Mountain Trail (signposted as Höhenweg Maseben in German) is slightly less demanding and is also suited to families with children. Starting at the Maseben cable car mountain station, it passes the Roteben lookout point ascending up to the Melager Alm mountain pasture
